Certificate IV in Agriculture

The Certificate IV in Agriculture will teach you intermediate skills in livestock and crop production, as well as giving you the option to specialise in organic production or agribusiness, should you want to own or manage your own business.

When you study the Certificate IV in Agriculture, you’ll learn a range of practical skills, such as: Livestock production fundamentals, including welfare and breeding programs, Broadacre crop production, and Budgeting and analysis.

Certificate III in Agriculture

The Certificate III in Agriculture will teach you farming basics and agriculture essentials, including dealing with different weather conditions and managing sustainability, how to use chemicals safely and manage biosecurity threats, and how to use and maintain farming machinery. You’ll then choose to specialise in one of these areas: Livestock, crops or mixed livestock and crops.

This course includes a work placement. This will give you the chance to gain hands-on experience in a farm setting and put the theory you learn on the course into practice.

The Certificate II in Agriculture will prepare you for work on a farm, teaching you how work effectively in the agricultural industry, teach you how to keep the farm safe and well maintained, including how to undertake general maintenance and repair works, and ensure you have the knowledge to establish, grow and harvest crops.
